Requirements
-
The server needs to use a certificate trusted by the MFD. If the server is not using a certificate signed by a publicly trusted authority, this means the Certificate Authority needs to be added to the trust store of the MFD.
Known Limitations
MFD web access
-
If the MFD web authentication keeps showing the login screen after entering correct credentials and does not show any error message, please use a new anonymous window or delete the session cookies (MFD limitation)
-
Default machine admin credentials after resetting the login application configuration are: admin/changeme
Custom logo
-
Custom logo is be updated on the terminal after 2nd refresh cycle after its change (two of following: login and logout, sleep and wakeup, machine restart)
Print
-
When using push print (AKA Local delivery), finishing options (such as grayscale, copies count, simplex / duplex) are only respected on devices that support Postscript.
-
Devices that do not support Postscript need to be configured to use “RAW” Print language in their corresponding printer settings (in Printers in Cloud Portal Web UI), otherwise the resulting jobs will not be printed correctly.
-
Print progress state is lost and doesn’t recover if Secure Print & Scan application closes - either if user navigates to Home screen or if native device popup is displayed (for example: out of paper).
-
Jobs in Cloud Portal Web UI are marked as Printed when they are pulled from the MFD instead of when they are actually printed.
-
Push printing is available only via PostScript (the same limitation as the old Gen 1 Canon terminal)
-
Support for finishing options in PostScript push printing is limited (the same limitation as the old Gen 1 Canon terminal)
Finishing options
-
Borderless printing and job offset are currently not supported.
-
Booklet:
-
Top stitching with the booklet option is not supported; it can be achieved by setting landscape orientation together with the booklet option.
-
Booklets are downscaled for download and printing (e.g., A4 print results in an A5 booklet).
-
Booklet binding with offset to allow more space on the binding edge is not supported.
-
-
Punching - number of holes managed by finisher settings
Scan
Everything else that all other cloud terminals support is supported
-
The TIFF and multipage TIFF formats are not supported for scanned document output.
-
Support for mixed original sizes in a single scan job depends on device capabilities.
Accounting
-
Only scan and print jobs done in our application are accounted limitation REMOVAL PLANNED
Quotas
-
Native applications do not support balance handling.
-
Changing the number of copies, colour or finishing options in the job detail does not re-quote the job; the pre-check and the local subtraction both use the price quoted when the job was submitted.
Localisation
-
Device language is not changed when the language is changed in the application. In order to change the language on the device, use device menu.
-
If the selected device language is not supported by the application, English language is displayed.
Proxy configuration
-
Only no proxy or proxy with basic authentication is supported. Proxy without authentication or with kerberos authentication is not supported.
-
Excluded address list is not implemented. If proxy is used, it will be used for all communication.
Custom driver in PC Client usage
-
Download and print functions require MFD port 9100 for print job reception to be enabled and configured on the MFD device.
Notable other limitations
-
Gateway connection is not supported (legacy ports support missing)
-
Some very old device lines are stuck on a "please wait" screen for terminal versions before 2026.07.
